The Raffaelli shipyard was founded in 1972 by a group of men with a love of the sea, to construct wooden leisure boats using advanced technology, thanks to the introduction of layered fibre glass, one of the first applications in Italy... The history of Raffaelli Costruzioni Nautiche is punctuated with important events, a result of the strong personality of its founder, Renato Raffaelli, who possesses a thorough knowledge of all things nautical: limits, risks, needs and the mysterious attraction of seafaring. With the first boat constructed, the Mochi Thaityan, in 1958 he won the Bastia-Viareggio-Bastia race, in 1970 he became the Italian C2 class offshore champion and won the mononautica Golden Rose. Its boats, on which attention is paid to every last detail, combine the traditions handed down by the best master craftsmen, with technology and stylish design to offer aesthetics, performance and practicality. These are the major virtues of Raffaelli craft, right from the first one ever built, the 15 metre Compass Rose, which would be followed by others named after evocative names of the winds. Raffaelli Spa is today present on the major European markets thanks to the efforts of Renato’s wife Gabriella, son and daughter Giampiero and Paola and with the valuable contribution of Chief Executive Officer Aurelio Lonoce, keeping alive Renato’s spirit regarding love of the sea and respect for it.
